Most people knew Mario Lopez as a host for an entertainment news magazine called Extra and America’s Best Dance Crew for MTV. Others knew him through the second season of The X Factor where he co-hosted with Chloe Kardashian. He was also the solo host for the third season by the way. He is known for his portrayal of A.C. Slater in the Saved by the Bell and aside from that, he also appeared on various projects including Dancing with the Stars (third season) and Pet Star.

But how did Mario Lopez really started?

Mario’s professional career started in 1984 when he played as Tomas in the A.B.C. comedy series called a.k.a. Pablo. He also appeared as a dancer and drummer on Kids Incorporated on the same year. He played small parts in the sitcom The Golden Girls and the movie Colors in 1988. After that, he played various roles in different movies/shows including Breaking the Surface: The Greg Louganis Story, Pacific Blue, Resurrection Blvd. Eve, The Bad Girl’s Guide, Sesame Street, and a lot more.

Overall, Mario Lopez continued to display unfathomable passion for acting and hosting which in turn brought him to where he is right now. Just like thousands of celebrities who rose from the ranks, it wasn’t an easy ride for Mario. But it never stopped him in pursuing success and excellence.
